Trip To Asia
A trip to Asia with what could be the best orchestra in the world: the Berliner Philharmoniker. Founded in 1882, the legendary orchestra has since become a household name and performed under a host of famous conductors, including Herbert von Karajan, Claudio Abbado and, presently, Sir Simon Rattle. Today, the Berlin Philharmonic is getting ready for a tour of Asia and director Thomas Grube jumps at the opportunity to get a glimpse of the action backstage, be that rehearsals, arguments, hysterics (it happens to the best of us) or the prosaic day-to-day life of the members of the most famous orchestra in the world. A must see for all classical music fans. Special screening at the Berlin Film Festival.
