CSNY Deja Vu
It all began in 1970. At the highest point of the Vietnam war protests, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills and Neil Young, under the collective name CSNY, released an album that became a landmark of political activism through music. 36 years later, and while America is at boiling point over the war in Iraq, the greying Woodstock veterans reunite ready to stoke the fire once more. Bernard Shakey’s (alias of Neil Young) rocumentary follows CSNY in their 2006 Freedom of Speech tour recording the political geography of a divided nation. The film was featured at the Sundance Film Festival.
