All Tomorrow's Parties
The All Tomorrow’s Parties Music Festival was founded in 1999 by Barry Hogan, who wanted to move away from the maddening crowds of established corporate festivals into a more intimate space. Ten years later, All Tomorrow’s Parties remains a truly alternative proposition. And that's exactly what Jonathan Caouette's DIY documentary attempts to capture: although it includes highlight performances by top-notch musicians, Caouette’s primary intention is to relay the vibe of the Festival and its effects on real people. Some of the film's best moments include interviews with the spectators and behind-the-scenes footage, where the atmosphere is so laid back it’s hard to believe it’s a Festival.
