WEEMOED & WILDERNIS / WISTFUL WILDERNESS

Tingemetten island lies off the Danish shores and surfaced from the sea to become a fertile land, contributing a lot to the country's economy. As time passed by it became home of a group of farmers until the begining of the 90s when the government deicide to give the land back to nature. Dinga Sinke decided to record this process through a series of visits in which she filmed inhabitants and landscape. Within these 15 years and hunderds of hours spent on the island she witnessed the changes in men, land and herself, creating a poetic essay on geography, exploring the ways time transforms slowly but steadily anything that touches.
