ARMADILLO
On February 2009 a group of Danish soldiers arrives at Armadillo military bese in Afghanistan. They are accompanied by documentarist Janus Metz who is recording their everyday life, being benefited from an unheard for military standards freedom. Be it a simple briefing, a warden routine, a preparation for a mission or an actual battle, he is there to film it. During this process he (and along with him us) will witness a truth that will question the morality of the mission in Afghanistan. Cold blood murders of innocent Afghan citizens became the part of a scandal threatening the government itself back in Denmark. From beginning to end he will remain focused to the soldiers offering a penetrating and often disturbing look in soldiers' psychology and the reality of modern warfare-something miles away from a politician's statement or an 8 o'clock news bulletin.
