MESA STO DASOS / IN THE WOODS

Two boys and a girl in a pagan trip where nature guides feelings and senses. Minimal dialogue, silence, noises. Fear, freedom, instict, desire, sexualism, and a constant hint that something is watching from above. Shot in a photo camera , filled with powerful tinges and violent shapes, In The Woods is an existential fairy tale, red as the primal desire of blood. Frantzis with a five member crew , three actors and with the least possible equipment (a 190 euros worth photo machine, a sound recorder and a laptop) returns after A Dog's Dream with an instinctive approach of writing, free of technical restrictions. Clear-cut lines and vivid colour compose a film of authentic sexuality and ecstasy.
