BROTHERHOOD

Adam is in the trunk of a truck blindfolded on his way to his last initiation rite into his college's fraternity. This time, the test involves robbing a grocery store. Inevitably, everything goes horribly wrong and the escapade ends up with a fellow frat member being shot. But the truly serious problems start when Frank, the group's chief of operations, refuses to take him to the hospital in a bid to keep the fraternity out of trouble - at all costs. Will Canon delivers a gripping, ingeniously structured film with heavy noir influences. Complete with healthy doses of pitch black humor, "Brotherhood" serves to remind us that you can always sink a little bit lower than you originally thought. Audience Award at SXSW Film Festival.
