LA MOSQUITERA / THE MOSQUITO NET

15 year old Luis brings in his parents' clinically decorated home all the stray animals of Barcelona. His father Miguel seems rather disturbed in contrary with his mother Alicia, who thinks her son's hoddy will make him more affectionate. Of course the only orchestrator/instigator of Luis' strange behaviour is the perversion rulling the house, that seems to have transformed to a rule within the family resembling an open infected wound. Alicia flirts with her son's friend, Miguel hunts like a vulture their South American cleaner and the house soon turns into a jungle both literally and metaphorically speaking. A sanitized observation of a family drama awaking the most perverted and well hidden human insticts. Spain's answer to greek "Dogtooth" won the Karlovy Vary Crystal Sphere award.
