Two years later, when 80% of the film was already shot, the Polish government interrupted this overambitious production under the pretext it was covert criticism of the communist regime. A decade later, the director will complete his vision replacing the missing scenes with his own narration, delivering what is considered the most phantasmagorical film in his entire career. Th.P.
