My Architect

A tale of love and art, betrayal and forgiveness, where Nathaniel Kahn - the illegitimate son of legendary architect Louis Kahn - sets out on an epic 5-year journey around the world. His goal is to explore his father's legacy and the stunning beauty of his monumental work in an effort to reconcile the life and the work of this contradictory man.

Just like his father always believed that life is random and nothing is ever premeditated, this film is equally episodic, made up of successive scenes that capture Kahn's architectural greatness, as well as random passers-by, who only appear in the film once.

The riveting narration takes us from the underground tunnels of Penn Station in New York, all the way to the backstreets of Bangladesh (where Kahn designed the amazing Capital Complex), the coast of New England and the inner sanctums of Jerusalem. Nathaniel Kahn's personal journey turns into an anthem to architecture and life itself. A.S.
