Fans from all over come together once a year in Germany for the biggest heavy metal festival in the world, Wacken Open Air. Whacken 3D is the ultimate documentary about this wild outdoors party. Shot by six crews with 18 3D stereo cameras, the film takes us behind the scenes to meet Anthrax, Alice Cooper, Henry Rollins, Motorhead, Rammstein and Deep Purple, complete with an ocean of beer, the moshing and the chaos that goes with it. Four alcohol-drenched days of madness, mud and deafening tunes, as experienced by four audi- ence members from Germany, Asia and the US. Get ready to jump on stage with Deep Purple and crowdsurf as the "Smoke on the Water" intro fills the air, against the German dusk.
