Four teenagers leave for the woods to look for the missing scientist Dr Arthur Waterman. Little do they know that they’re tailed by a creepy forest ranger, who's not very happy with them snooping around. But when they uncover a strange volume filled with cryptic symbols, they find all the hounds of hell unleashed upon them, as the ranger has a vested interest in the book and its occult contents. Legend has it that ?Equinox? served as the inspiration for ?Evil Dead?, while the special effects were groundbreaking for their time.
