Pablo and Apolline are two siblings with a rare emotional bond - even being far apart they communicate through the world of the online game Darknoon. But when Pablo falls in love with Night, and they become embroiled in a dangerous conflict between drug trafficking gangs, the fragile balance between the three characters is upended. In their second feature film, Poggi and Vinel spectacularly reinvigorate coming-of-age stories and queer romance, constructing from scratch an entire wondrous new world. Through the epic universe of an interactive game, an antidote to the loneliness and mundane everyday life, this erotically charged film reflects a digital reality on the edge of science fiction – a simultaneous trap and escape for a generation.

CAROLINE POGGI, JONATHAN VINEL
French filmmaking duo Poggi (b. 1990) and Vinel (b. 1988), first collaborated on the short film format, winning a Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, and after a short run in the format they moved on to feature films with "Jessica Forever". Between their feature films they collaborated on three more short films.
