A collective of activists from Israel and Palestine is documenting the methodical uprooting of Arab residents from 19 settlements in Masafer Yatta, an area on the border of the West Bank. During a nightmarish period of Arab-Israeli relations, one of the most talked-about documentaries of recent time stands as a monument to bold investigative journalism and proves that objectivity lies not in neutrality, but in historical truth. At the same time, “No Other Land” offers an intense and at times devastating look that remains cinematic despite the immediacy of its material. Adra is a Palestinian lawyer, journalist and filmmaker. As an activist and documentary director, he is fighting against Israel’s mass expulsion of his community. Ballal is a Palestinian photographer. He has worked as a researcher for several human rights groups opposed to the Israeli occupation. Abraham is an Israeli filmmaker and investigative journalist who lives in Jerusalem. Szor is an Israeli cinematographer, editor and director who lives in Jerusalem.
