In this atypical sequel to the Oscar-winning "20 Days in Mariupol" two journalists from the Associated Press follow a Ukrainian platoon and count 2,000 meters towards the liberation of Andriivka. The apocalyptic landscape shifts from the bombed-out cities to the trenches, where the camera captures some of the most cinematically astonishing moments of battle, alongside the uncertainty and the absurdity of war. The International Press praised the film labeling it as an honest and moving response from the front. The festival circuit embraced it as a haunting, layered depiction of war. The truth lies in the immediacy of the documented and in human nature’s perseverance under the most inhumane conditions. Ukraine's official submission for Best International Film in the upcoming Oscars. Th.K.
