Annika and her 17-year-old daughter move to a small town in Lapland, where Annika has landed a job at the local hospital. At first everything seems to be going fine: her job is a great opportunity, while her daughter appears to have already found a friend in Vega - a not-so-ordinary teenager. But when a bunch of students break into the hospital and steal the wrong batch of pills to add another level to their drug and alcohol induced fun, things take a turn for the worse. As the long Scandinavian night slowly creeps in, strange things begin to happen ? and the next daybreak is a whole month away...
