30th AIFF: Everything you need to know about Film Passes, tickets and venues

The Athens International Film Festival returns for its 30th anniversary edition from October 2nd to 14th, with a rich schedule and special parallel events.

The 30th edition will take place in the cinemas DANAOS 1 & 2, CINOBO OPERA 1 & 2, ASTOR, ASTY, FRENCH INSTITUTE OF GREECE, ATHENS CONCERT HALL, PALLAS.

SCREENING PASSES

The pre-sale for screening passes will start on Wednesday, September 18, starting at 12.00 pm, via more.com.

 

a. Types of Passes
Passes of 5, 10 and 20 screenings worth 35€, 60€ and 90€ respectively, are available for the audience until the tickets are sold out.

* Owners of the 20-screening pass will receive an exclusive invitation to the Festival’s Opening Ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Athens Concert Hall. All holders of a 20-screening pass will receive their respective personal invitations at the email address they have provided when purchasing their screening pass.

** Pass owners do NOT enter the screenings by showing their pass. It is required to issue tickets (free of charge)  using the number assigned to their passes.

b. Presale
The online pre-sale for screening passes will start on Wednesday, September 18 at 12:00 p.m.: 

- Online at more.com
and
- at the physical selling points within the Store Network (by cash or card) 

c. Reservations 
2 hour - reservations for screening passes that will be purchased using cash at a physical selling point can be made by calling 2117700000, Mon - Fri 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.

d. Ticket Issuing for screening pass owners
By using their unique number, pass holders (of 5, 10 or 20 screenings) are able to redeem their screenings to free tickets  Thursday September 26th at 12:00 p.m.  - one day earlier than the start of the general presale to the public - and for any screenings with a 8€ ticket, regardless of day and time.

Screening Pass holders can redeem as many tickets as they wish from their pass  for the same screening.

* Those who buy a screening pass  have the option of getting a plastic Festival card printed out with their name on it by contacting accreditations@aiff.gr . 

Screening Pass holders (of 5, 10 or 20 screenings) who wish to receive their card, have to send an email with the subject SCREENING PASSES to accreditations@aiff.gr attaching their invoice from the pass purchase as well as the participating Cinema from where they would like to receive their card.

DISABILITY CARD

In all screenings of the Festival, the entry for people with disabilities is free of charge by using a 5-screening pass (until the available number of passes is sold out),  cinephile guide dogs are also welcome.

For the free issuing of the 5-screening pass, those interested can send an email from Thursday, September 26th to accreditations@aiff.gr with the necessary attachment of one of the following:

• Cultural Card for People with Disabilities (Ministry of Culture)

• Free Transportation Card for People with Disabilities (OASA)

• Unemployment Card for People with Disabilities (DYPA)

• Deaf / Hard of Hearing Association  or any other related document 

The disability screening pass is strictly personal and allows the holder to redeem with her/his number one free ticket per screening for any of the  5 screenings with a ticket value of 8 euros, throughout the duration of the Festival, depending on the availability.

The card will be activated from Wednesday, October 2nd 2024. 

In case of need of an assistant, a request for 2 disability screening passes should be made simultaneously by specifying the need.

The code for the disability card will be sent from accreditations@aiff.gr to the e-mail address provided by the applicants.

Credentials are activated on Wednesday October 2nd at 12.00 p.m. and can issue free tickets for the same or the following day, daily from 11.00 a.m.

UNEMPLOYMENT CARDS

Those interested can send an email from Thursday, September 26th to accreditations@aiff.gr with their contact information (full name, mobile phone, e-mail) for the free issue of the relevant 3-screening pass with the necessary attachment of a renewed unemployment card.

Each unemployment card owner is entitled to 1 card with 3 codes corresponding to 3 free tickets. Each code can redeem one ticket for a same-day or next-day screening, similar to accreditations.

The card will be activated on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024. 

Credentials are activated on Wednesday October 2nd at 12.00 p.m. and can issue free tickets for the same or the following day, daily from 11.00 a.m.

ACCREDITATIONS

Accreditation card owners can issue their free ticket ONLY the day before or on the day of the screening they have chosen.

Press Accreditations: A card with a unique code corresponding to 5 screenings. By using the unique code, the accreditation owner can issue tickets for the screenings of her/his choice either online, via more.com.gr or at a physical selling point. Accreditation holders are not allowed to issue more than one ticket for the same screening.

Credentials are activated on Wednesday October 2nd at 12.00 p.m. and can issue free tickets for the same or the following day, daily from 11.00 a.m.

ONLINE TICKETS 

Audiences can buy their tickets online using their credit/debit card from Friday, September 27, 2024 at 12:00, at which time the pre-sale for the Festival's program will begin:

•  from the site more.com 

• from the more.com, app by choosing the Festival and the screenings they would like to watch

They may then choose to print them out or use the e-ticket from their phone.

As of September 27, 2024, the physical selling points of more.com network will include the cinemas participating in the Festival, only for screenings that take place in the respective cinema.

• Each cinema issues tickets only for the screenings that take place in it, and not for other cinemas.

• An hour before each screening and until the start of the screening, the box office of each cinema issues tickets exclusively for that day's screenings. 

• Changes / Cancellations of tickets and screening passes are NOT allowed.

• Online ticket sales end 15 minutes before the start of each film. In the last 15 minutes before the start of the film, tickets are only available at the cinema where the film is screened.  

• Cinema box offices open one hour before their first screening.
