The Athens International Film Festival returns for its 31st edition, running from October 1 to October 12, once again filling the city with cinema: the year’s most anticipated films, outstanding masterclasses, and distinguished guests.

The 31st Athens International Film Festival – Opening Nights will take place in the following cinemas: DANAOS 1, CINOBO OPERA 1, ASTOR, ASTY, ATHENS CONCERT HALL (Megaron Mousikis), OLYMPIA Municipal Music Theatre "Maria Callas", TRIANON, and Onassis Stegi.

SPECIAL FESTIVAL PASSES

Pre-sale of festival passes will begin on Monday, September 22, at 12:00 noon, via more.com.

a. Types of Passes

Due to special circumstances, this year’s festival will not issue accreditations. However, in honor of our loyal audience, a limited number of special 10-screening passes will be available at the price of €80.

- Holders of the 10-screening pass will receive an individual invitation to the Festival’s Opening Ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Athens Concert Hall. Invitations will be sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase.

- Pass holders do not enter screenings by showing their pass directly. A zero-value ticket must be issued using the pass code.

- Passes can be used to obtain up to 2 tickets for the same screening.

b. Pre-sale

Online pre-sale starts Monday, September 22, at 12:00:

- Online at more.com

- At physical sales points in the more.com network (payment by card or cash)

c. Reservations

Pass reservations can be made by phone at 2117700000, Mon–Fri, 10:00–18:00. Reservations are held for 2 hours until purchase with cash at a physical sales point.

d. Ticket Issuance for Pass Holders

Using their unique code, pass holders can redeem their screenings for zero-value tickets starting Thursday, September 25 at 12:00 — one day before general ticket pre-sale opens — for any screening priced at €8.

Passes are not personal or nominal.

PASSES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWD)

Entry to all festival screenings is free for PWDs, with the use of a 5-screening festival pass (subject to availability).

From Monday, September 22, interested parties may send an email to accreditations.aiff@gmail.com with contact details (full name, mobile phone, email) and attach one of the following:

  • PWD culture card (Ministry of Culture)

  • PWD free transport card (OASA)

  • PWD unemployment card (OAED)

  • Deaf/Hard of Hearing association card or other relevant document

  • The PWD pass is strictly personal and allows the holder to redeem 1 zero-value ticket per screening, for a total of 5 screenings (priced at €8), subject to availability.

  • Entry requires both the PWD pass and the zero-value ticket.

  • If an escort is needed, a request for 2 PWD passes must be made simultaneously.

  • The pass code will be sent electronically to the provided email.

  • Codes become active on October 1, allowing zero-value ticket issuance for screenings of the same or next day.

PASSES FOR UNEMPLOYED PERSONS

Unique codes will be provided corresponding to a 3-screening pass (valid for screenings of the same or next day).

From Monday, September 22, interested persons may email accreditations.aiff@gmail.com with contact details (full name, mobile, email) and attach a valid OAED unemployment card.

Each OAED unemployment card holder is entitled to 1 pass with 3 codes, redeemable for 3 free tickets. Each code corresponds to one screening.
