Yiorgos Markakis’ first feature film will premiere in the 19th Athens International Film Festival Opening Nights, which will run from the 18th until the 29th of September.
It is a film that explores the sexual relationship between two men through eight emotions ambiguous between acceptance and rejection. From torment to apathy and from desire to disappointment, «India Blues» is an extremely realistic film about love and the way it transforms through the irrational monotony of the modern existence.
Groundbreaking and uncompromising, «India Blues» departs from the traditional structuralistic route. Free of limitations and awkward dialogues, the film exclusively relies on the real time and improvising of the actors, who add genuineness and probably occasionally hidden realism.
