When a man named Horvath disappears having left the final installment on his car unpaid, private eye Brenner reluctantly agrees to track him down. His investigations lead him to a quaint little countryside inn, whose restaurant's quest to source the best ingredients seems to have crossed the line into the macabre. And as if this wasn't enough, Brenner realizes he's in love. Based on a novel by Wolf Haas and reminiscent of ?Fargo?, "The Boneman" is a darkly humorous, multi-level thriller set against the seemingly innocuous Austrian countryside.
