32nd Athens International Film Festival: Day 8 [photos]

Javier Bardem and Vicky Luengo clashed as father and daughter in Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s “The Beloved”. Birgit Minichmayr joined us at DANAOS 1 for Sandra Wollner’s “Everytime”. And Nikos Papatakis’ “The Shepherds of Disorder” returned to the big screen in collaboration with the Hellenic Film Academy, introduced by Maria Katsounaki.

Day eight continued with Radu Jude’s biting satire “The Diary of a Chambermaid”, Elaine May’s “Mikey and Nicky” —selected by Yorgos Lanthimos— and Lee Chang-dong’s “Oasis”. In competition, John Turturro starred in “The Only Living Pickpocket in New York”, alongside “Gabin”, “Narciso”, “Once Upon a Time in Harlem” and four more Greek short films.
