30th Athens International Film Festival: Photo Album of Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9, 2024 (Day #6 & #7)

The 30th Athens International Film Festival is in full swing, and so are the screenings that you wholeheartedly embrace!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the ASTOR hosted the 5th and 6th competition sections of Greek Short Stories in Competition, along with the films competing in them. Following this, there were screenings of the film KATHLEEN IS HERE with the presence of director Eva Birthistle and producer Claire McCauley, as well as the film NIGHT RECEDES with the directors Timon Koulmasis and Eva Stefani.

At Cinobo OPERA, the sold-out screening of CROSSING filled the theater to capacity, followed by the customary festival gathering at STEPA, the meeting point for festival-goers from all over.

On Wednesday afternoon, the festival's parallel events included the screening of the documentary WINNING BATTLES at the Theo Angelopoulos Auditorium of the Institut français de Grèce (French Institute of Greece), followed by an open discussion with the participation of Roi Tzivra, internal communications coordinator at the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO); Alexandros Theodoridis, founding member of the NGO Boroume, which aims to reduce food waste and increase food aid across Greece; and Gogo Delogianni, activist and chef.
