A DJ goes from London to Bristol to investigate the mysterious death of his brother. Under this simple pretext of a road movie mystery, Petit stages the trail that connects the British '70s and '80s, foregrounding the music and a scrapbook of memorable figures crossing their existential paths. A petite masterpiece, “Radio On” becomes a link between Jarmusch and Wenders. A borderline film, like no other before or since, which through the psychogeography of a disoriented generation wandering on analog waves and urban highways, bridged electronic art rock with new wave and inaugurated post-punk iconography on the big screen.

CHRISTOPHER PETIT
English writer and director, born in London in 1949. During the ‘70s he was a film critic for Time Out and writer for Melody Maker. He has frequently collaborated with the writer Ian Sinclair.
