LA CASA MUDA / THE SILENT HOUSE

Laura and her father settle in a farmhouse which must be renovated by them as his owner wishes to sell it soon. They decide to spend the night there and start repairing first thing in the morning. While night passes smoothly Laura hears a growing noise from the upper floor. Her father decides to check and returns in blood and half dead. Laura tries to escape but the much needed key is on the upper floor. Based on a true event that took place in the 40s "La Casa Muda" is a 78 minutes shot. The film created a buzz ever since the first trailer leaked on the web and caused much sensation in this year's Cannes Film Festival. With real terror in real time at the driver's seat Hernandez uses his limited budget to create a film that attacks all senses.
