A satellite is sent to space in quest of extra terrestrial life but on its way back crashes above Mexico. Six years later the country is quarantined as extra terrestrial forms of life have developed. Mexican and American soldiers battle each day against alien creatures. Andrew is a photo reporter based in South America searching for his editor's daughter, Samantha, in order to accompany her to the U.S.A. In order to get there they have to cross the infected area. Monsters is revealed on the screen through a breath taking road trip that features the devastated Mexican land, the infected jungle and, finally, the huge wall in the U.S. border. Excellent frames capture the electrified atmosphere of the wasted land and state of the art effects recreate in the most convincing way the alien invaders. The delightful mix is supplemented with an unexpected love story, successfully supported by the chemistry of the actors involved.
