Amnesty

A new law allows conjugal visits in the Tirana prisons and so Elsa and Spetim, strangers to each other, visit their spouses regularly. Outside the prison walls, however, another love affair is in gestation – the one between two free people coming together under adverse conditions. The first full-length film by Bujar Alimani became the first Albanian movie screened at the Berlin Film Festival, where it won the CICAE award of the International Confederation of Arthouse Cinemas (CICAE).
