Hannibal Ante Portas

18-year-old Chara, daughter of a prostitute and a father she never met, shies away from crowds the same way she avoids school. She starts working as stable hand at an equestrian centre, hoping that, by starting from the margins of society, she will fight with all her might to become an equestrian champion. She has the talent, the necessary resolve, a special attachment to the horse and she thinks that a place in the national team will make her socially acceptable. She intends to claim it with legitimate means or not. “Hannibal at the Gates” is the story of the path to success, which is at some point, however, derailed.
