Win Win
Mike is a loser attorney in New Jersey, who’s trying to keep himself and his family happy. When he’s no longer able to pay the bills that smother him, he tries to get involved with the – naturally faltering - high school wrestling team as a coach. Mike sees his fortunes changing with the arrival of Kyle, a talented student in whose face he sees his dreams of the championship realized. Everything is put in jeopardy, however, when the young athlete’s mother shows up, fresh out of rehab and completely broke. Tom McCarthy, whose name is a guarantee for hilarious, low-key tales (“The Visitor”) meets the unique Paul Giamatti in a bittersweet, human film which garnered praise from audience and critics at its first screening at Sundance.
