It is the beginning of summer, but for 8-year-old trans girl Lucia it is a moment of seismic changes in her fragile inner world. Her mother is encouraging, but people behave as if she’s capricious. However, during their vacation in the Basque Country, through socializing with open-minded (or not so) relatives, the brave little girl will attempt to find herself and reintroduce it to others. That way this heartfelt, tender coming-of-age debut, featuring an astounding and Berlinale awarded lead performance by Sofia Otero, transforms into a statement of ecumenical importance on the right to define your identity and be loved for what you really are. ESTIBALIZ URRESOLA SOLAGUREN
Spanish director/screenwriter and producer, born in 1984. She studied Audiovisual Communications at the University of the Basque Country, Editing at Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV in Cuba, and got her Masters from the School of Cinema and Audiovisual of Catalonia. This is her feature film debut.
