ARTHUR & DIANA
GERMANY | 2023 | COLOR | DCP | 108’ | FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN
Arthur and Diana are siblings. They travel by car from Berlin to Paris, with Lupo, her two year-old son named after their father who is no longer alive. On their journey they will talk, they will fight, they will remember, they will fall in love, they will have a one-night stand, they will see their mother, they will go to a funeral. A lot of things will happen. Sara Summa takes on fully her second film, immerses it with confidence in a nostalgic late ‘70s filmic light, fills it with music happening as if the century never changed and in this somehow Rohmerian, hippie and singularly female manner creates a trans Europe ode to the youth you ponder over at nights.
