YORGOS LANTHIMOS PRESENTS at the 32nd Athens International Film Festival
We are delighted to announce that Yorgos Lanthimos is taking on a discreet curatorial role, inviting us to discover this year a selection of films he has personally chosen for the audience of the 32nd Athens International Film Festival.
After last year’s special appearance at the Opening Ceremony of the Athens International Film Festival with Bugonia, the beginning of a beautiful relationship, we are delighted to welcome Yorgos Lanthimos back this year — in a different role: that of curator.
From anarchic comedies, vibrant documentaries and unconventional buddy films (seen through an unexpectedly feminine gaze) to coming-of-age stories, tales of female emancipation, and forbidden games of love and death, Yorgos Lanthimos’ selections span a broad and unpredictable cinematic spectrum that we invite you to discover.
All films will be screened in the best possible digitally restored versions.
