The riskiest, more controversial queer film of the year, touches upon issues and tampers with taboos that promise, at least for some in the audience, to bring inconvenience. Still, however, behind the erotically tempting title one may see a fearless, introspective debut that walk through some questionable moral territory of the human nature while attempting to investigate faces of desire and sexuality hard to analyze. Its protagonist is an arrogant sex worker and camboy in contemporary LA, who accepts the preposterous suggestion of a mysterious, masked stranger, to spend the night with him for 50 thousand dollars. When he meets him, and gradually finds out how this man is related to him, the night takes a new turn. Instead of a game of lust and power becomes a confessional confrontation between two deeply problematic men who take their masks off so as to disclose their true, vulnerable faces. The two performances are truly gutsy, but the real find is young Kieron Moore. L.K.
