29th Athens International Film Festival - Opening Ceremony (Photos)

Our festival Nights have begun!

With love as our motto, two much-anticipated premieres, video from Pedro Almodóvar, and a packed Pallas Theater with around 1300 spectators! The evening continued at City Link with cinema treats from Jameson Irish Whiskey and Fischer Beer.

We thank our sponsors and partners, especially the Organization of Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens, NOVA, and Aegean Airlines, as well as EKOME for their support.

However, it was one of the most emotional openings of AIFF. Because we can't celebrate as much as we want, knowing that by the end of this year, CINE IDEAL will cease to exist as we know it.

Just as AIFF and its audience lose another "home," the city slowly loses its cinematic havens.

For the next twelve days, let's support our theaters as much as possible. And let's continue to do the same after the festival. Let's always be in the cinemas.
