29th AIFF: Highlights from the Press Conference
12 days, 3 Competitive Sections, 150 films, 35 guests, 5 parallel events, and 8 parties: the official program of the 29th AIFF was announced on Wednesday, September 20th, at the Press Conference at ASTOR, and it's richer than ever!
A double celebratory opening with Celine Song and Pedro Almodóvar, Miyazaki for the closing, marvelous Scorsese with "Killers of the Flower Moon," 100 years of Disney, and major premieres from festivals around the world.
And of course, our major tribute this year is to the wild nights of London's SCALA cinema, which managed in its short life to leave its own cultural imprint. Our tribute this year is a homage to the movie theater, because without it, there is no festival, and without it, there is no cinema.
