The late Panos Geramanis talks with the forgotten heroes of folk music and retrieves moments from their lives, trying to document and relive the images and values of an era forever lost. Through his everyday radio show, the legendary ‘Folk Bards’, he presents the greatest and often forgotten heroes of Greek folk music. For 16 years he shared unknown stories of famous singers, secrets and strange incidents, comprising the memories of the golden era of Greek music. Panos Geramanis, always smiling, with his persistence and self-denial, presents a palimpsest of our folk music tradition, accompanied with his childhood memories and those of his first years in the newspapers and the radio.

THANOS KOUTSANDREAS
Born in Chalandri in 1956. He studied mathematics and was involved in photography and music. In 1982 he went to Paris for postgraduate studies. He studied sound and vision at the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle. He is a founding member of the film production company Horme Pictures. He takes part in various music productions, mainly in Greek Radio.
