Born into a literary family, young Johanne falls in love for the first time in her life. The object of her desire is one of her teachers. Confused by her immature feelings, she records her dreams and thoughts in her diary. When her grandmother and mother read her writings, they are initially shocked by the content, but then try to convince her to publish them. The second part of the trilogy "Sex-Dreams -Love" by the recognized Norwegian author/director, in defiance of "hardcore" classic Scandinavian cinema, insists on psychology, but does so through prose and the intensely literary nature of his work. The Kislowskian trilogy is a milestone in contemporary urban cinema and the way film interprets the complexity of human relationships. “Dreams” in particular is the most satisfying exploration of the theme, a fact underlined by the Golden Bear award the film won at the Berlin Film Festival.
