RICHARD LINKLATER
American filmmaker, born in 1960. He started studying at the university, but then moved to work at an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. After reading incessantly and visiting repertory cinemas at Houston, decided to become a filmmaker. 5 Oscar nominations, various festival and critical honors, as well as the audience’s approval for his work, are living proof he made the right career move.
