A year after the sudden death of his wife, Ben feels he is losing faith and any appetite for work and life. But when he meets again his eccentric music schoolteacher, their upbeat and tender relationship will prove catalytic. This rather prudent synopsis only inadequately describes a delightfully moody and idiosyncratic comedy that shares eclectic affinities with “Harold and Maude”, Elaine May's neurotic cinema and the witty Jewish humor first introduced by Woody Allen. Deliriously directed, with a spirited script and an adorable pair of leads, this is a sweetheart of a film insisting that we face everything serious in this life in the most un-serious manner possible.

NATHAN SILVER
American writer and director. He studied playwriting at New York University's Tisch School of Arts. In the 2010s he worked feverishly presenting almost one film per year. He has also worked in television.
