Lured by how easily profitable reselling products online is, a young man starts to follow some not so ethical routes to get rich. As his life changes for the better, deadly threats begin to surround him. Japan's official submission to the next Academy Award for Best International Film, the newest creation from the other (and subsequent) acclaimed Kurosawa starts out as an atmospheric mystery thriller, moves into a violent reckoning, and ends up as something unexpectedly metaphysical. Underneath it all, however, is a darkly ironic warning about man's thoughtless dependence on technology and the dangerous fascinations of the modern internet world.

KIYOSHI KUROSAWA
Japanese filmmaker, critic and academic, born in 1955. He studied at Rikkyo University in Tokyo and later in the United States. He started in the yakuza genre and Japanese pink films before emerging in the 1990s. A prolific filmmaker, he has been strongly influenced by western auteurs and has been honoured by international film festivals.
