There's nothing more enthusiastic than Martin Scorsese talking about the cinema he loves. And there is no cinema he loves more than that of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger! Featuring interviews with friends and collaborators, hearty excerpts from their filmography and rare archive footage, Scorsese pays a worshipping tribute to the work of the directors who gave British cinema such masterpieces as “Black Narcissus”, “The Red Shoes” and “A Matter of Life and Death”. At the same time, he traces the profound influence their films had on his own work and recalls the chronicle of his personal acquaintance with Powell, marking with his authentic passion a documentary where loving the movies is all that matters.
