An elegant tribute to the life and work of Hayao Miyazaki, an artist who emerged from stormy events of the 20th century, to gain absolute recognition. Alongside rare personal archival footage and interviews with collaborators and prominent fans, the documentary offers rich excerpts from his films to highlight the straight lines between them and the "spirit of nature" that informs his filmography. That is, all that surrounds us and, according to him, defines the human condition. A journey from the darkness to the light for an auteur inspired by the tension between them. A revealing portrait of a unique artist who discovered the elixir of eternal youth by transforming his dreams into animation.
