On the run after a failed ambush, a young gangster takes refuge in the "Motel Destino", a seaside hotel whose owners make sure to provide everything necessary for their guests' lusty encounters. He becomes their employee and soon finds himself trapped in a sexually charged triangle soon to go off the rails. Karim Ainouz ("The Invisible Life of Eurídice Gusmão") returns to his sensual metaphysics with a "tropical" neon-noir, colorful, psychedelic and drenched in heat and sweat. The great Brazilian filmmaker finds common ground between "Body Heat" and "The Postman Always Rings Twice", giving the latter its even more erotic and dangerous version.

KARIM AÏNOUZ
Brazilian director, screenwriter and visual artist. He has worked in fiction, documentary, short film and television. He has been awarded the Cannes ‘Un Certain Regard’ and a number of festival awards.
