When a beloved Literature teacher is confronted with a teenage student's complaint of inappropriate behavior, he is suddenly called upon to fight to protect his name, his position in the school, and his longtime gay relationship, which no one knows. Similar to last year’s wonderful "The Teacher’s Lounge", this film, based on true events, uses the incident of a wrongly accused man to draw a poignant and angry commentary on cancel culture and the hidden pitfalls of democratic institutions and societies. In the leading role, François Civil proves that apart from being the currently most sought-after young protagonist of French cinema, he is also an excellent actor.

TEDDY LUSSI-MODESTE
French-Romani director, screenwriter and teacher, born in 1978 in Grenoble. He studied at the legendary La Fémis in Paris. This is his 3rd feature film. Last year he co-wrote the screenplay for Maïwenn’s “Jeanne du Barry” which opened the Cannes Film Festival.
