Two best friends make films together in Cuba when one of the two grasps at the chance to permanently escape to Europe, leaving the other behind. Their relationship will continue through a sensational series of videos, which “in a whisper” manage to ingeniously capture the sorrow of being an expatriate, the crucial aspects of the female temperament, the roots of a deep friendship and the passion for freedom. A film that moves each viewer differently, though at a very similar spot. The spot where the vital need for human expression meets nostalgia for time passed, uprooting and the emphatically alive but painfully ‘absent’ friendship.

Born in 1978 in Cuba where they studied Film. Hassan moved to Switzerland and Fernandez to Spain to get their MAs. They have worked in short film and documentary. This is their first co-directorial feature film.
