Adam is the sole tenant of an apartment building at the edge of the city. Or that’s what he thinks. Because one night his neighbor knocks on the door and an affair begins. However, in Adam’s life there is one weird thing going on. His dead parents mysteriously still reside in his family home. From this metaphysical twist, Haigh’s film asks what would happen if one more opportunity to settle painful loose ends were given to us. With the help of Mescal and Scott, both excellent, Haigh delivers his masterwork, a film of such emotional gravity that certain viewers cannot but surrender to it. L.K.

British filmmaker, born in 1973. He began his career as an assistant film editor, among others, in Ridley Scott films, before turning to writing/directing. ‘Weekend’ and ‘45 Years’ established him in the festival circuit, and further.
