Having just become a mother, director Eva Stefani began filming sex worker, Dimitra K., in 2009. It took twelve years to complete her project. In 2018, the filmmaker Εlias Giannakakis, a close friend of Stefani, began filming her with the aim of creating a documentary that would explore not only her own struggle with the film she had been working so hard to make, but also her very unique world. The director has been filming the idiosyncratic filmmaker for eight years, aiming to capture the most authentic portrait of her.

He has been awarded and distinguished for both his documentaries and fiction films at international festivals. At the same time, he is a historical researcher, author, and columnist.
