Raising her own two children in a loving Parisian home, a single mother tries to show as much understanding as she can towards her teenage daughter’s longing, as the girl tries in vain to meet the father she has never known. The mother knows however that the man who abandoned them never wanted a family and consciously turned his back on them. Still, the daughter refuses to give up, demanding a fatherly presence which she feels she is entitled to and believes she can secure. Rudi Rosenberg in his tender drama wonders whether one’s absence can threaten the fragile balance of a family or, ultimately, bring its members even closer. “Words of Love” reveals the humor, intimacy and humanity within a family whose emotional trials and sensitive characters one can easily identify with and be moved by. RUDI ROSENBERG

Rudi Rosenberg (b. 1979) started his career as an actor, playing on television and cinema. After studying at the International Film and Television School (EICAR) in Paris, he undertook his career as a filmmaker. His graduation film, “MY 13”, was selected in a score of French and international film festivals and won the first prize at the Arte Student Film Contest.
